Aji Sakho is a Gambian photographer and storyteller based in Senegal. She holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Texas at Tyler. Her work centers on themes of family, identity, and emotional truth, drawing inspiration from the everyday lives and relationships that shape West African communities.

Beginning her creative journey through poetry and film, Aji developed a deep interest in visual storytelling—using photography as a means to explore human connection and memory. Her approach blends documentary observation with an intimate, poetic style, reflecting her belief that powerful stories are found in ordinary moments.

She is also the founder of Tuut Tank Studios, a creative space dedicated to capturing childhood, family, and community through a soft, natural, and timeless lens. Through Tuut Tank Studios, Aji continues to explore how photography can preserve emotion, nurture connection, and celebrate the quiet beauty of everyday life.
